I am using WinRAR in my laptop for extracting file. I have downloaded an album from songs.pk last week. I have extracted songs from the file easily but now when I am trying to extract it is showing error message “Can’t execute filename…”. Please suggest any method to fix this issue if possible.
If you are referring to the Indian site “songs.pk”, if the file you downloaded is a ZIP file or a compressed file in a different format, make sure the file is not corrupted. Try downloading the album again then unpack the songs. If the album you are downloading is not corrupted, you should be able to extract the songs.
Try also reinstalling WinRAR to see if the problem is caused by the file archiver. Or maybe just update WinRAR instead. Visit WinRAR Archivers with your web browser and download WinRAR 5.11 or the beta version, WinRAR 5.20 beta 2. Try also using other file archiver such as 7-Zip. Download the stable version for Windows, 7-Zip 9.20.
You can also download WinZip 19. Currently, it supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.
