I am totally at loss and not sure how to continue after this error message.
I am trying to install Microsoft SQL server 2008 on one of my Windows 2003 server. The installation runs up to a level with all green checks but when it comes to Windows PowerShell it has a red check mark and says its failed.
When I click on the link which says failed I get the following error .
Please help me on this.

You can resolve your problem. To remove this error you need to install windows “Powershell” on your computer. You have to follow the instructions to install windows power shell:

Installing Windows PowerShell wasn't the error you are getting. The error was caused by the failure of SQL Express with advance Service to install. In short, you need to install Windows PowerShell.
You can download Windows PowerShell from this site —> 404 Not Found
A soon as you click “Download”, SQL Express Installation Wizard will launch. It is just a tool for downloading and installing everything you need.
If Windows Validation will show that verifies that your copy of Windows is illegal.
