Windows 8 in october ?

Is it true that Microsoft is going to launch windows 8 officially in October ? How windows 8 is different from windows 7 ? If anyone has used beta version windows 8, please tell us the features it has ?

Windows 8 in october ?

Yes, Microsoft has officially announced October as the release date for Windows 8. Windows 8 improved many features of windows 7. I’m starting from boot.

·         Windows 8 boot time is claimed to be 30 to 70 percent faster than older windows

·         Live boot is a new feature introduced in windows 8. Before this, some of the Linux versions were using Live boot. Through this feature, user will be able to save their session on USB sticks.

·         Interface is more attractive than windows 7 by using a Metro style. Even the Task Manager style is amazing.

·         Windows 8 will support x86 as well as ARM tablets.

·         The new start menu is awesome and have totally changed look and feel.

·         Windows 8 will support touch browsing in Internet Explorer 10.

·         Windows users will be able to login using Live ID and will get back their personalized settings on Every PC..!

There are many more features that windows 8 provide.

Windows 8 in october ?

Yes, I also read yesterday , that Windows 8 is going to release after 2 weeks.

I am using its release preview. (Windows 8 do not come with betas :D).

It is nice and better than Windows7, It starts in less than15 seconds.Much improved Windows explorer and interface. Metro Style apps is new thing , which is the main feature of windows 8.

Windows 8 or Microsoft Windows 8 is an operating system for PC developed by Microsoft as part of the Windows NT series of operating systems. It was released to manufacturing on August 1, 2012 and to general availability on October 26, 2012. This version of Microsoft Windows introduced major changes to the Windows operating system and the UI or its user interface.

Microsoft Windows 8 is aimed for tablets and desktop computers. Microsoft Windows 8.1 is a Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows 8 released on October 17, 2013. This Service Pack update addresses some features that were criticized by reviewers and early adopters. It also included additional enhancements to various parts of the operating system. Microsoft ended support for Windows 8 RTM on January 12, 2016.

And for Microsoft lifecycle policies related to Service Packs, users must install and update to Windows 8.1 to maintain support and receive further updates. Together with having a much different look and feel from its predecessor, Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8 brags faster startup times and better performance. Unfortunately, it failed to reach critical mass among business and users alike.
