My Windows 7 PC has an Intel Core i3 550 CPU with a processing power of 3.20 GHZ. It also has a 4GB RAM. The problem is that this computer is so slow for no reason at all. Installing an application is a nightmare since you have to wait for a couple of hours. Streaming a video leads to lags all through even though my internet connection is 45Mbps. Please help me find a solution for this.

Slow performance can be caused by various issues with your personal computer. It may be due to low disk pace, virus and malware, unresponsive applications and also overheating of your processor. To check for virus and malware run your antivirus and select scan the whole computer for any virus. If you have not anti virus installed on your computer I would recommend you buy either AVG, Kasperskey or Esset anti virus. They offer the best user interface to are user friendly.

Alternatively download a tune up utility software of your choice and run it to scan for junk files, unresponsive programs and it also help you uninstall programs that you don't need. This help in increasing the performance of your machine.
