I have tried installing windows vista and 7 at the same time before (dual boot). But is it possible to install 2000 and 7 at the same time? I need 2000 for work purposes but of course I want to use 7 at the same time. How can I do it?

Hi Michael A. Washington,

It is actually possible. You can have two or multiple windows operating system at one. Not only it is possible for multiple Windows operating system but also it is also possible to have multiple operating systems with non-Windows operating systems. Anyway, having Windows 7 operating system and Windows 2000 operating is pretty simple and easy. Just install them like how you normally install these operating systems. Before you try to install both of these operating systems, I suggest you partition your drives in order to separate your operating systems in order to avoid conflicts between different operating systems. After you have installed both of these, you will be prompt of which operating system to boot. Hope this helps.

Hi Dear,

Thanks for sharing your problem with us. It is not complicated thing to run two windows (7 and 2000) on the same system as duel boot.

You can run these two windows on the same computer. But some differences are available in them which you have to take in mind while installing.

You have to take care of it that both of these should be installed on separate partition.

Windows 7 will install only at the file system NTFS. But windows 2000 can be installed on FAT 32.

So you have to install both of these but on separate partition.

I hope this will help you to understand your question.

Thanks
