Why my power adaptor become hot?

I use laptop of ACER company but whenever I use my laptop for long durations, it becomes hot.

Is it normal for my adaptor to become hot or is it malfunctioning.As I still have warranty left,if the problem is found then

I can exchange it.

Why my power adaptor become hot?

 

If your power adapter becomes too hot, then it is warning sign that there’s something wrong with your laptop or the adapter. You have to check the first laptop battery if it is charging while the adapter is plugged in. If it is indeed charging, then the problem would be most likely with the adapter itself. You have turn off your computer and unplug the adapter. Let it cool for a while and plug it back in to the wall outlet. If it becomes hot again, then it is recommended that you have to check it over to a computer repair shop. You shouldn’t ignore this issue because it will cause serious damage to the equipment.
