Why I’m unable to hear voice on Skype?

Hi guys, I use skype for personal and professional use to though personal use is not a problem but most of the clients give project details only through skype and this is really a concerned problem that I'm unable to hear the other party voice on skype when connected headphones or nor I'm unable to hear the voice is not there but my client is able to hear me.This problem is only with skype not with other application softwares as when playing games and listening music the voice is great with and without headphones.Please help me ASAP

Hello,

There might be many issues that will cause such issue. Here’s how you’ll fix the problems.

First, check your Windows for any issue. You can use this Microsoft Fixit Tool for fixing any issue with your Skype. Also, install all the latest Windows Updates.

Next, it’s time to check your hardware. Check that your hardware are configured correctly. Check your sound volume, plugin your headset correctly. If any driver required, check that it is updated.

Update Skype to latest version. Download Skype. Don’t forget to uninstall the older installation first.

Start Skype, go to Tools >> Options >> Audio Settings. Make sure that your speakers are selected in the list.
