Hey guys,

I want to know why is it that I can't send music files from my HTC M8 smartphone to PC. I don't know what is wrong with it but I tried to send via bluetooth the music files play on Pc as my PC starts to monitor it as soon as I connect both devices but unable to transfer music files.

Hi Ronnie,

You haven't mentioned whether you are using HTC Sync Manager. It is easier to transfer media files (photos, videos, musics) to a PC using the manager. If you haven't been using it, follow the instructions below-

1. Download HTC Sync Manager from here.

2. Locate the file.

3. Install the file after connecting your HTC One M8 with the PC through USB.

Now you are good to go! Your computer will automatically sync your media files to your computer once you connect it.

However, there is another way which doesn't require any software. Just connect your phone to the computer. Locate the phone from my computer just like any other USB drive. Copy from there.

You can also watch this video provided by HTC.

Thanks.

If you want to send some music files from your HTC Smartphone to your computer via Bluetooth, make sure both your computer and Smartphone are paired correctly. If both Bluetooth-enabled devices are paired properly, both devices can see each other. Once both devices are paired, that’s the only time you can send files to the target device. But if you can’t pair them, you cannot send files.

If the problem continues and you cannot send files from your phone to your computer via Bluetooth, another way is to use the HTC PC software. Download HTC Sync Manager and install it. Check the download page for supported phone models. Your phone, HTC One (M8), is supported.

Once installed, start HTC Sync Manager then connect your phone to your computer via the USB cable that came with it. You should see your phone’s model on the lower right corner of HTC Sync Manager. Once your phone is detected, in HTC Sync Manager, go to “Music” tab then click “Settings.”

Click “Copy all music from phone” and make sure it is checked then click on the “Sync” icon which is the revolving circle icon on the lower right corner. This will then import or copy the music files from your HTC Smartphone to your computer.
