Hey techyv,
I recently downloaded Alwil software uninstall utility to get rid of a program that would not uninstall despite various attempts at doing so.
Â
I found it a pain to have to boot in safe mode whenever I wanted to use this application, and I was wondering why I had to do this?
Â
Is there a way to run it normally?
Why does Alwil software uninstall utility need to run in safe mode?
Hi there Sue K Burgos,
Â
Alwil Software Uninstall is a great tool that will clean your computer of all of the leftovers and trash that various software leave behind after deletion. I believe that running the safe mode to use the tool may be a bit frustrating, but still, it is a great way to protect your computer and to clean your computer completely.
Â
When you're running your Windows in the safe mode, only limited basic functions, processes and drivers that are required for Windows to work runs. When you uninstall the software being in the safe mode, there is no risk that the software you're trying to uninstall will try to connect to the internet or that some part of the software will stay on your computer due to being used by some process so it will be removed completely and safely.
Â
Hope this made things clearer for you.
Â
Best regards,
Drake Vivian
