While installing Adobe After Effects CS4 I received the error message

Hi,

While installing Adobe After Effects CS 4 I received the error message. As per direction of the message.

I tried all the possible way to install it but failed. If you have any idea regarding the problem, please help me to fix it.

This seems to be the problem with your Setup file.

Your downloaded file might be corrupted or missing some required parameters.

Try downloading it from some other source or try to install any newer version.

Hopefully, this error will be resolved after getting the software setup from any other good source.

Hello,

 

I got this problem quite often on Windows. Defragment your hard disk drive, scan for errors and before you start your setup file make sure you turn off antivirus program. Also if you have the option of choosing what to install, then check everything since there is chance that some parts require the other part of the application.

I think I know now why the software doesn’t want to install. As what the image you attached describes, you are using a different version of Microsoft Windows other than Windows XP and or Windows Vista.

I’m not that familiar with newer versions of Microsoft Windows since I am only using Windows XP and I know what Windows Vista looks like but I think you are using Windows 7 or Windows 8. This version of Adobe After Effects does not support the two latter versions I mentioned.

Adobe After Effects CS4 only works with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and or Service Pack 3 32-bit, and Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit [Home premium, Business, Ultimate, Enterprise] Service Pack 1. It also supports Mac OS X 10.4.11 – 10.5.4.

Since you are using a higher version of the operating system, try installing Adobe After Effects CS5 and or higher versions. Adobe After Effects CS5 and other higher versions require 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows so make sure you are running your computer on the 64-bit side and if not you may need to upgrade your system to 64-bit. You may also visit Adobe | System requirements | After Effects of other information.
