I am recent user of Skype. It is comfortable for me to use. Just for curiosity one question is striking in my mind. If I buy credit from Skype to make a call to abroad, and make a call which number will appear on recipient screen of phone device.

When you set up a Skype account you are given the opportunity to put a phone number into your profile. You go to profile, phone number, edit. When you phone someone this is the phone number that comes up on their screen. When you buy Skype credit they do not give you a phone number it is just money added to your account to make a phone call to a number that is not Skype as in a landline or a mobile phone.

Once you get the phone credit, you use your Skype like a normal phone – put in the phone number and click on the dial. Video courtesy of Skype official site

Ok, so when you buy a skype credit, you get a phone number. So with that number you can call up other numbers anywhere in the world. And by the way, the best way to use skype is the free call to any skype numbers in the world. Just you and your receiving party should be installed with skype on their mobile or on their computer or laptop. Nowadays, mobile phones can be installed with third party softwares i.e able to install softwares other then pre loaded ones. Specially these facilities are on smartphones or other PDA's. So once skype software is installed, you can call from your skype installed laptop/computer to skype installed mobile also or vice versa. Technology has made the world connected once again. Keep calling.
