I open the mails in my iPHONE which have attachments and I have iPHONE 5 with iOS 7 and when I open an email with attachment the attachment starts to download automatically so I can click and view. I want that to not happen which is a waste of my internet pack. Where can I step to stop such downloads

By default, the attached file gets automatically downloaded if under a certain size and connected to cellular connection. In order to stop auto-download of attachments, navigate to Settings > Mail (search in the options available). You can disable downloading attachments by selecting the relevant options.

Alternatively, you can change the email account connectivity to “push” to allow fetch new emails automatically without downloading the attachments.

Hi,

You need to go to mailbox (Like exchange). Go to menu > more > settings > send and receive. There you will find menu option to include attachments. You can select always or never and that will solve your problem. Similarly you can stop automatic download for any kind of mailbox.
