At last the Tablet Microsoft was talking about is disclosed in front of media. It is Microsoft surface. After how long we are going to get it in the market?

Microsoft’s Surface Tablet is known to be the Apple’s iPad close rival. However, experts said that it pose little threat to the Apple’s success. Also, articles and bloggers around the world compared the two.

New Microsoft Surface Tablet will be released on 26th October at Midnight in USA and Canada. Preorders are also available from United Kingdom and Australia.

One of the many versions in the Microsoft Surface series is the Microsoft Surface 2 tablet. Microsoft Surface 2 doesn’t support cellular connection and will not work on any GSM network. It was announced to the public on September 2013 and released on October 2013. It measures 274.6 x 172.5 x 8.9 millimeters and weighs 675.9 grams with built-in 2-stage kickstand.

It has TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 1920 x 1080 pixels screen resolution. It supports multi-touch up to five fingers with ClearType technology support. It runs on Microsoft Windows RT powered by NVIDIA Tegra 4 T40 chipset, Quad Core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A15 processor, and ULP GeForce (72 cores) GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 64 GB.

It runs on 2 GB RAM with internal storage available in the following capacities: 32 GB and 64 GB. The primary camera supports 5 megapixels with LED flash and autofocus support. The primary camera features geo-tagging and can record video in 1080p at 30 fps. The secondary camera supports 3.5 megapixels and can record video in 1080p at 30 fps.

It has 3.5-millimeter jack featuring Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic support; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with dual-band and Wi-Fi Direct support; Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP support; and USB 3.0 with USB Host support. GPS and FM radio are not supported. It has built-in accelerometer, gyro, and compass sensors. The pre-installed web browser supports HTML5. It doesn’t support Java.

It runs on non-removable Li-Ion battery and available in Dark Titanium color.
