When I Click the Pop Up the Installation Stops

Hello people,

Before going into the details of the problem, I think you should know that I am a IS6.3. User. While installing the software I have been getting a weird pop up. When I click anywhere on this pop up it halts the installation. I tried uninstalling the software, but HDS_TUTORIAL folder was still there. It was an empty folder that was left there after the installation. However, whenever I rebooted the system and deleted the files myself, the installation seemed to be working.

Error:

Component transfer error

Component:GDS2200_INSTALLION File Group:HDS TUTORIAL File:C:HORWA05DSHDS_TOUTORIAL Error:Access is denied.

If any of you can help in this regard, that would be great.

This is another odd behavior of an application. I think you should check your system for possible virus infection. I very rarely experience this type of problem when installing an application on my computer. Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your computer. Be sure to scan the System Volume Information folder located on the root of every drive. Some antivirus like Norton Antivirus and Norton Internet Security excludes this folder from being scanned. To be sure that this folder will be scanned, do a manual scan on this folder. This is a hidden system folder so you need to change some settings in the Folders Options to make this folder visible.

Scanning the System Volume Information folder is very important because most Trojans that I’ve encountered are making this folder their primary target of infection. When this folder gets infected, all your drives’ restore points will be damaged and restoring your computer is already not possible.

You should also check the system requirements of the program you are installing. Maybe the program is not compatible with your operating system that’s why it behaves like that. Or, you may also try uninstalling the application then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. Install the application back after the disk check.
