What is versioning in MS word? Explain the feature and what is it used for? How can you activate the versioning option? Is versioning available in MS Word 2007? How is the version feature available in Word 2010 different from the versioning feature available in the earlier Word Releases. How can you manage auto saved versions?

Versioning mean what software you have installed in your device or laptop either it is version of 2003, 2007, 2010 this will be displayed on your CD cover and appears when you are going to install it.

If you have purchased Microsoft Office 2003, it will install your MS word in 2003 version.

If you have purchased Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 or another it will install your MS word in 2007 or 2010 or  any other version respectively.

If you have purchased Microsoft Office version 2007 and you have to make your document in version 2003 then just do your work on Ms word 2007 version.

When you have completed your work just move your mouse to control panel and click on top lest corner icon as shown in the image, then click on save as it further opens more option of saving a copy of the document just select your option word 97-2003. Select this option you will find your copy in 97-2003 version and then save it in your required destination

This is the version you questioned. This will manage your auto saved options of your version that you want.
