I am really eager on using the new OS on my laptop, so I would like to know its features and release date.

What is the release date of expected window 8 and its features?

Hi Beatricegvavra,
Windows 8 is actually promo song a whole new experience and features to the user which include:

– Very fast boot time: this is because of the better resource allocation for the applications and the system

– A  very interesting UI:  which is talked about a lot as being mind blowing.

– Windows ToGo : which allows the operating system to boot from a USB device with all the settings, programs, etc..  but it lacks the hibernation feature.

Windows store: which is considered a competition to apple store which will allow the developers to publish their old Metro-style apps.

And finally the official release date of Windows 8 is supposed to be around October of 2012 but a developers version is already available to download from the Microsoft web site.
