What is the purpose of SIP proxy server and how will it affect us if it is down? Can it be run virtually and have a backup?

What is the purpose of SIP proxy server

Hi Radhak,

Session Initiation Protocol: An Internet Engineering Task Force defined signaling protocol, which controls communication sessions for voice and video calls above IP. SIP which are not work as firewall and sovereign servers on the internet that work as alternative for request in support of the users for different reasons The main purpose of proxy is perform like a mediator which serves up requests or advance those requests to other UAS’s or UAC’s for servicing. To route SIP communications proxy servers play an important role by configuring them. When proxy server is used to route messages prior to transmit to the target SIP client, this configuration can be illustrated. This took place at the time of initiating a SIP session to one more user within the same group. If the safety of internet link is problem this comes very handy for internal communication purpose. Proxy servers use to communicate with each others to convey message when users for various groups configures their UA and direct to their respective proxy servers. To map external to internal SIP identity proxy server can ask a location service.

If proxy SIP server goes down you can run it virtually but as SIP applications are resource concentrated so you have to examine how it execute once virtualization then have backup for the same.

Hi Radhak, I have read your queries on SIP. The SIP proxy server is important in human technology because they serve as bridges of IM, online videos and games and many services. They are one of the main parts of our multimedia businesses. They are capable of protecting are enabled communications and routes interaction of different IP addresses. The purpose of the proxy server routes our online searches or data. The SIP PROXY SERVER has also backups and they have the virtual server also. Without the SIP our technology will have an incomplete data for the multimedia industries and services.
