Hi Yency,

The PS1 is a local variable,

PS1 variable sets the prompt that prompt can vary,
each time it is displayed by using special escaped
sequences .

These are includes….

w  the current working directory
h  short host name
$  privileged user
t  the current time
u  user name
!  the history number of the current

command.
d  the data
#  super user

# Ps1 = “u@h:w <!>$”
