The port numbers along with their associated addresses work like a telephone numbers with its associated extensions. To connect to a given internet web address, a unique number just like the   telephone number enables you to call a specific number using the public network.  Most of many organizations configure their phone networks to make use of phone extensions.

From outside; all these extensions associate with only one telephone. A port number of a network works in the same manner a telephone extension would work. Addresses to a network and port numbers identify both computers and the channels that computers were communicating within the network.

“http:port cannot be found” it is a connection problem. First for all check your connection. If you are using cable connection then check carefuly. Is it working properly or not? Plug your cable connector perfectly with your pc. Then try to connect the internet.

May be you need an IP address to access the internet. If you don’t know that then collect it from your ISP company. Then use this IP address to connect. If you do not installed TCP/IP protocol then install it. It is necessary if you are connecting through router.

If you are using modem and GSM then create a dial up connection properly. Select your country perfectly and use prefect dial up number to connect internet.
