i have an core i3 processor , with 4 GB Ram, and 320 GB Hard Disk space.

i am using windows 7, in task manager under performance tab there shows about kernel Memory.

like : Paged 171

        NonPaged : 59

can any one tell me about it.

Kernel memory is also one of the types of memory inside the computers. Operating system uses this kernel memory. It is secure and normal applications or software cannot access it. To transfer kernel towards the disk memory there is another memory named virtual memory is used. So in every computer or the operating system there is always a presence of kernel memory and it occupy space in physical memory most of the time and it never ignored or deleted. This memory named kernel also plays a very important role in managing of the overall memory and by this image which you see below is the whole scenario in a diagram which shows how it manage the memory.
