I have used sprint as my service provider on my phone for the longest of times. However, recently, I made up my mind to change my network provider. I successfully received an email from Sprint saying that my phone has been unlocked, but I cannot get any other SIM card to work on my phone. How to get past this?

If you have received an email from Sprint, then rest assured, your phone is indeed unlocked. As proof, you will find that you are not able to connect to the Sprint network anymore. As far as not being able to use any other SIM card is concerned, there could be several problems.

What you might be missing is resetting your phone’s network setting before inserting the new SIM cards. If you do not know how to do so, you will find the steps on your new network’s website. Another problem could be that you tried to hot-swap the SIM card. What you need to do is to turn your mobile phone off and then insert the new SIM cards and turn on your phone back again. This should solve your problem. If the problems continue, contact your device manufacturer or the cellphone service, provider.
