I use a Windows machine and I recently started facing a problem which I feel is unique. I noticed my computer slowing down and to my horror, opening up task manager revealed that secsvcs process was using 100% of my CPU. How to solve this?
There are several different Windows processes that users have reported to eat up the entire CPU performance. The secsvcs process is one such process. What happens is that whenever you turn on the computer, the process begins and eats up all your process time.
You may have considered stopping this process by force using task manager. Unfortunately, this is just a temporary solution. If you do so, every time you start your computer the process will start again and you will end up with the same problem. What you can do is try and stop all the Windows Media Center Updates. This might be the permanent solution you are looking for.
