What is Error issue 25091?

Hi,

I was downloading a file from an e-mail sent to me by a colleague; the attachment is in MS Excel format.  After the download is completed, I tried to open the file and an error kept appearing on my screen.

Error 25091 Set up failed to change the Source.

I am not very good in computers. So my first question is, which option to select, Cancel or Retry? I tried opening other Excel files, but the same error recurs.

MS Office Applications in my PC is working properly before I made that file download. Is the file corrupted or has a virus attached to it?

Do I need to re-install MS Office?  The problem is that, I am currently away from home and I do not have my CD Installer available here with me.

What is Error issue 25091?

Yes, a virus attached with this Excel file and you should press cancel instead of retry. You will scan your complete system with updated Antivirus software and then try to open that file.

If problem remains the same, just uninstall your Office application and try to download MS Office from the Microsoft website and re-install your Office application again.

You need to be careful in downloading files especially files that are attached in the email even if you know where the email came from. Always scan it for viruses before downloading it.

 

To help you resolve this issue, you may need to uninstall and then re install your MS office. You may also need to install Windows PC Support which helps you scan, diagnose and repair your computer.
