Dear Hazel,

CODE 39 ERROR is one of the various device manager error codes. It's mainly caused by a missing or corrupt driver for a certain hardware installed on a computer, the error can also be as a result of a windows registry issue. My friend Hazel, in case you installed a new hardware on your computer you need to uninstall it and it's drivers and then reinstall them or if you altered your device manager settings before you saw the code 39 error I advise you to undo the change and restart your computer.

Rolling back, updating the drivers of your hardware or restoring the system are also wise options. Lastly, if the error persists, you may have to replace the hardware. It may not be compatible with your Windows version. Another way is by deleting the registry values i.e. lowerfilters and upperfilters in the Windows registry. This resolves error code 39 brought about by windows registry. Try them out Hazel.
