I have a Nokia 5800.

I tried to open the notes application on my phone, but a message appeared saying "database corrupted.

Some date might have been lost".

How did this happen?

How do I get my notes to work again?

Hi Jeff,

I have a solution, but you can use this method on your own risk. You could solve your problem by the flashing firmware. All you have to do is to backup to PC first then do the hard reset; full erase phone except your SD card. Upon the availability of hard reset with the latest v20 of firmware, just press and hold the green call button plus red end button plus camera button and switch on the phone from off state and wait until the Nokia logo comes out. After that restore data from PC except for the calendar and notes and now you can sync it with outlook on your PC.

Prior on doing the instruction above you will need the following tools so that you could install the flash firmware: Nokia Ovi Suite, Navifirm, JAF tool and Pkey (Nokia Flash Tools.rar) and Dot Net framework (latest version 2 for WinXP user)

For more detailed installation and backup you could visit the website

Hi Jeff,

The Errors tells that you are wrong choosing of application installed to the device drivers.

That is the common problem will occurred when you’re wrong in installing.

Try to check again if the model and brand of the application is compatible with your devices. If yes.

You will not be suffering this problem.

There some common reasons or causes of that problem you encounter like not properly shut down of the application you used or Virus of the program or improper data sync.

Try by restart with your devices and install with the new application that is compatible with your phone.

I hope I give you some idea of the error of your device.
