Clip Art are images that Microsoft has provided for the user to insert on their work that needs to have images. These images are used for Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and even Microsoft PowerPoint. They are set of themes and objects that you can choose from to make your work artistic and visual more colorful. Files on the other hand are pictures that Microsoft might have added on your program as samples so that you’ll have an idea how your pictures will look like in terms of images once you have them taken and downloaded on your computer.

The good things about all of these are that you can use any of them to make your work more creative.

When inserting an image or a picture from Clip Art, the source of the image is from within the application. Clip Art is a built-in or pre-installed tool in Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, and other Microsoft Office products where you can attach different kinds of images. To define clip art, it is a word that describes any picture, image, graphic, photograph, or illustration that is used in desktop publishing, publication, print, scrapbooking, advertising, or in any project that uses images.

Inserting an image from a file means that you will be inserting or attaching an image coming from a separate file on your computer. It could be any picture or image stored on your machine and is not part of the software you are using like Microsoft Office Word.
