What is the best anti-virus and can be downloaded for free?

I keep on installing anti-virus applications to protect my pc.

However, it only lasts for 30 days. I didn't notice it's just a trial.

Can anybody suggest some anti-virus applications that is for free and would not last just for 30 days?

Hello Chet, your problem is a potential problem faced by many people. You know that there are so many anti-virus available online for trial uses. But some anti-virus softwares are so disturbing because they make our pc very slow. But an anti-virus software I know will give you a better performance than others.

This is AVG Anti virus. This software is free of cost and doesn't make your pc slow. Moreover, technical support is available via online. So I suggest you that you may use this for better performance & you will not be bothered for trial problem.

Hello Chet,

There are good free anti-virus program for your choice.

Microsoft Security Essential – it's totally free

Avast free edition which is separately from the PRO edition

AVG free edition it's also separately from the PRO version.

Anvi Smart Defender – it's a new program from anvisoft, it's free but not mature at the moment.

Nice feature, if you like it, you can wait the mature version.

I am glad that you have come to the right site that can help you.

There are many free antivirus online but I recommend you to purchase because free antivirus may put your pc at risk.

But some free antiviruses are free to download online that are safe.

The following are the antivirus software that I recommend for you:

• Avast Antivirus
• McAfee Antivirus
• Bifender
• Norton
• Panda Cloud antivirus

I am using McAfee, and it is working well for me. It really protects me from viruses and speeds up internet connection.

Just select which one you would prefer above.
