I am using a Windows XP CD when repairing my PC when it crashed. I took a hard time using this CD, sometimes it does not work. Can you give me another CD and other tools that can repair XP and how to use it.
You can use bootable USB flash drive. Here are the steps to make a bootable USB flash drive:
First, format the use and choose NTFS under file system, then use Power ISO. You can download it at http://www.poweriso.com/ Open the program, then click tools, then choose create bootable USB. A new window will appear then. In the "choose image source", locate your windows installer in ISO format, then choose your USB in the "destination USB drive". The writing method should be USB-HDD, then click start and wait for the program to finish, then you will have your bootable USB flash drive.
Note: if you don't have Windows Installer in ISO format, simply use Power ISO to create one. To do this, insert your Windows Installer CD, go to my computer, right click on your cd/DVD rom, choose Power ISO, then choose make image file.
Simply do this as if you are using your Windows XP cd when you need to repair your computer.

Hello Lohnmar,
It is illegal to copy a proprietor software like Microsoft windows XP. If you had earlier purchased the operating system then you can order a replacement CD of Windows XP from microsoft official website.
If you really need the Setup to be installed immediately then borrow the CD from one of your friend who is using XP and activate it using your own activation key.
