Hello,

Generally the Database design part can be divided into 6 steps.

1.   Requirement Analysis.

Find what is going to do with database and what data is to be stored.

2.   Conceptual Database Design.

Describe data in High-level format using ER-Diagram.

3.   Logical database design.

This step includes convert conceptual database design into relational database design.

4.   Schema Refinement.

Analyze the collection of relation in the relational database schema.

5.   Physical Database design.

6.   Application Security and Design.
