Hello techyv,

What are the advantages of excel program to Samsung galaxy tab? We usually install Microsoft packages such as Microsoft excel, powerpoint, word in our computer desktop or laptops but nowadays there are Samsung galaxy tablets and other devices that supports those packages. What is the advantages and disadvantages of an excel program in a Samsung Galaxy tab? Share with me your idea based on your experience.

Hey Bryan,

I don’t really advise you to use Excel on your Samsung Galaxy Tab. Since it is running Android, why don’t you just use Google’s stock version “Spreadsheets”.

Google offers easy sharing and synching to its Docs with lots of storage space and restriction options which are great for offices.

Google Docs can run through browsers on any PC, or can be converted to Microsoft’s format.

If you insist on using Microsoft’s format on Android, there are plenty of free/paid apps in the Play Market.

Advantage of having excel in Samsung Galaxy Tab is that you can continue doing your excel files anywhere; you can run powerful queries to sort, filter, generate reports in your data, and view them in multiple formats. You can also add, change, delete and navigate your data easily without being tied on your desk.

Hi there user:

The advantage of using excel by way of Samsung Galaxy Tablet is that you can view your spreadsheet anywhere you go, especially if you always travel. You can view, double-check, and edit your records while travelling by way of LRT, bus, and/or some place outside your office or home.

There may be a slight disadvantage using excel program by way of Galaxy Tablet, using laptop or desktop is quite a relief compare to using galaxy tablet. The reason is because some of the tools are not usable using your tablet, like for instance, dragging.
