Webcam Problem in Yahoo Messenger

Hi all!

I am having a problem with my yahoo messenger. Every time I use my webcam alone it works fine. But when I view another person’s webcam it changes the webcam of the one I am viewing into the same view as my own webcam. Is this an error of yahoo messenger or is it just in my computer?

Webcam Problem in Yahoo Messenger

Hey, hope you are doing well.

Dear Jamie Tan, this problem could arise due to a few reasons.

1. Either you are using an older version of Yahoo Messenger.

2. May be your Web cam settings are out. Check your webcam settings by visiting control panel.

3. Install the new version of Yahoo Messenger 10.

4. This problem may occur due to the low speed of the internet as well.

5. You can check your Webcam resolution by this link.

For solving this issue you need to increase your internet speed or you must have to reinstall a newer version of Yahoo Messenger.

Is your webcam external? First, check if it was not accidentally unplugged from your computer. If it is being used by another program, close it then access your camera again.

Webcam Problem in Yahoo Messenger

If you are still wondering why the Yahoo Messenger stopped working, here are the facts about the discontinuation of Yahoo Messenger. After July 17, 2018, Yahoo Messenger will no longer be supported. After this date the service will no longer work and you will no longer be able to access your chats. You won’t be able to log into Yahoo Messenger.

According to Yahoo, there is currently no replacement product for Yahoo Messenger. You can still be able to download your chat history to your computer until the end of November 2018. To download your chat history, go to Yahoo Messenger Download Manager. Here, you need to log into your account again to verify. Once verification is successful, under “Yahoo Messenger data,” click “Download.”

Next, enter the email address where you want the notification to be sent when the download is ready then click “OK.” After this, just wait for the download on your email address. If you need to use a messenger like YM, just shift to Skype instead. If you haven’t done it yet, download the latest Skype for Desktop.

The latest version at the moment supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. It requires 1 GHz or faster processor, 512 MB RAM, and Microsoft DirectX 9 or higher. It also works on Macintosh and Linux as well as on mobile phones. For iOS devices, download Skype for iPhone.

The latest version at the moment requires iOS 10 or higher and works on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. For Android devices, download Skype for Android.
