Ways of communication for remote areas?

What kind of communication can I use when I want to get connected in a remote area? Some rural areas isn't reached with telecommunication companies, is there a possibility we can install any means of communication, as well as internet?

Well Justin, it is a very challenging task in fact. If there is no cellular coverage there, may be you can try using the conventional land line telephone system. If that is not the case, then the option left for you is to use the conventional mail system. It will be slow but having some sort of slow communication is better than having no communication what so ever.

Then apart from that, Have you thought that there are satellite phones as well which operate anywhere. May be that can solve this problem for you if you use satellite phone for communication. They have the coverage around the globe and will enable you to get in touch with the people in the remote area.
