Way to retrieve Data that is Already Gone

Hi TechyV Team ,

Is there a way to retrieve data that is already gone? I have a Maxtor HDD, I added 120GB hard drive; unfortunately it erased all stored data during the configuration. I just installed it without realizing that I was already losing important data and files from the old memory drive.  Can you please help me to find solutions on this? Thanks!

Way to retrieve Data that is Already Gone

 

Hello there! What windows are you using? Actually, deleted files are not really deleted. It is just removed from the file directory and can no longer be seen. As long as you did not defragment your hard drive after deleting the files, it can still be recovered. But the longer you wait to recover your deleted files, the less chance you have of getting the data back. You can use software such as Unerase for windows and Data Rescue 3 for Mac. Also, you can try using the system restore in windows. Go to Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Restore your system before you deleted the files. Good Luck!
