My foxpro 2.6 is now giving some error message. When I use DOS for opening this software I am getting an error message which says "Program too big to fit in memory". And then it returns to cmd prompt. I need a solution for this problem.

Please give me some reply.

If you can’t run Microsoft FoxPro 2.6 on DOS, try checking the file config.nt and see if its configuration inside is correct. You can open this file using notepad. Check if you can see these inside config.nt:

  • dos=high, umb
  • device=%SystemRoot%system32himem.sys
  • files=40

If these are missing from config.nt then just add them then save it afterwards and then restart your computer to load the new DOS settings. After booting, try opening FoxPro again using the command prompt and see what happens.

If you still can’t open the program, you can download the Windows version instead of using the DOS version. To download the Windows version, visit Microsoft FoxPro 2.6 DOS and Windows.
