Wanted to configure the firewall scope for File and Print Sharing

I am running on Windows 2008 server and want to configure the firewall scope for the File and Print Sharing. I filtered the inbound rules to show only those connected with File and Print Sharing. I have enabled File and Print Sharing using a server manager, and the firewall rules have been reconfigured, so it’s only the scope which needs to be limited. I filtered the inbound rules again and noticed that there were 9 rules that were turned on. Do I need to limit the scope on these rules? Can I copy the list of scopes from one rule to another?

Do not limit the scope and you can copy the list.

To configure you should go start–settings–control panel. In the category view go to security center then click windows firewall to open configuration window. Confirm that "Do not allow exceptions" is unchecked. Then go Exceptions tab and show file and printing sharing through port no 445. Show tcp 445 and go Change scope. In the result screen select your chosen network.  You can chose custom network list. Then click OK.
