The above error occurs when your network contains a firewall between the host that is the ESX/ESXi and the client. Try troubleshooting it by following these steps,

1. Try to log in to the vCentre server through the terminal or a Remote KVM and try to connect to the Vsphere client.

2. Configure your firewall to all communication between the host and the Workstation running the client.

3. Verify the host policy

4. Make sure that the host and client are in sync with an NTP service

5. Verify the name resolution in the environment.

6. Make sure that the host has enough disk space

7. Verify permission for the Virtual machine.

8. Confirm the host gateway configuration
