BlackBerry have graced the IT and Business professionals with a built-in VPN client for your Playbook, allowing you to securely access and browse your corporate information. BlackBerry supports VPN for CheckPoint, Cisco ASA, Juniper, and more. In order to use the phone’s built-in VPN capability, you need first to have an internet router or a VPN gateway that supports VPN; to authenticate Playbook on to your network you have to configure individual or different users and passwords; and you need a BlackBerry Playbook that’s connected through WiFi, Thethered 3G phone, or by using BES.

Use WiFi only before you attempt to VPN, ensure Internet Tethering turned off when in Bridged mode with your device. If you’re in Bridged mode with your BES mobile device and have Internet Tethering On. Use your Bridge Browser application and not establish a VPN. This will also allow you to access internal websites and internet. For the rest of the guide, please visit How to setup Blackberry Playbook VPN.
