There seems to be a problem with the Desktop component which cannot communicate to the internal server. An http connection issue might be blocking the http request to the server. Most of the time, your NIC is the primary cause.

1. Explicitly add to the ignore list of your proxy server your localhost address which is 127.0.0.1.

2. Unblock port 8070 on your local firewall.

3. If you can’t connect to http://127.0.0.1:8070/VoiceObjects/Services/WSProvider?wsdl, then resolve your network configuration settings.

Hi Lloyd,
The error is due to connection failure for metadata repository.
To resolve this error:
1) Open the 'Desktop for eclipse' window, Click 'Preferences'
2) Select 'Voice Objects'

Voice-Objects-Preferences-Properties-window
