VMware Power On virtual machine

Hello,

I got this error message for a couple of times.

Also,I try to fix this issue with VMware support but it couldn’t help me with this. My back up with VMware ESXi and everything was fine.

When an error message appears for the first time, my reaction was disable CBT on VM and commenting CBT lines in the vmx. But this didn’t solve my problem. I still got this error message.

Please help to solve this problem. Any suggestion is more than welcome.

My best

Emma

I will suggest the following workaround to counter that problem:

  • First, you will need to right click the on VM.
  • Next you will need to click on Edit Settings, and from there you will have to remove the original hard drives from the virtual machine.
  • So you will need to select the Hard Disk that you wish to remove.
  • And then you will click the 'Remove' button in the top left.
  • You must make sure that you chose 'Remove from Virtual Machine' in the next window that appears. You might also want to leave the original disks there and not delete them from there, and that will be mostly if VMware support is involved

That should help.
