Hello guys. I have a problem regarding to my vlc media player. My O.S is Ubuntu 9.04.

I get this error every time I run sounds and videos to my player. I tried a lot of commands from the terminal, but I still get an error.

Do I need to re-install my player?

Thanks.

Could not launch ‘VLC media player’

Hallo Junstine Gella,

Have you ever successfully used the vlc player before after you installed, because if you have not then you could have just installed the wrong version of the vlc player on your computer system. You will need to get the right version and install it.

Also, since the error says something about vlc not finding the directory, then you could have installed vlc in the wrong directory on your computer, and therefore you will need to do a reinstallation and this time make sure that you install vlc to the right directory in the file manager.

Hope this helps.
