Hello there,

I am an avid fan of online games such as Diablo and Call of Duty. However, whenever I am playing games on my XPS 15, it seems that the visual quality is not good. What will I need to do to have the best visual performance on my computer? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,

For setting up visual performance in Windows 7 and XP go to Start Menu and open Control Panel. From there choose System and then click on Advanced Tab.

Here you have Performance (for visual effects, memory usage, processor scheduling and virtual memory). Click on the Settings. First tab in Performance Option is Visual Effects. Here you have four options. Click on custom and choose/remove effects by checking/unchecking.

For better performance you can uncheck following effects: first one for animate windows when minimizing and maximizing, fade or slide menus into view and ToolTips into view, fade out menu items after clicking, animations in the taskbar and Start Menu, slide open combo boxes and show shadows under windows.

Regards,

Williamson Mellisa
