I am unable to connect to Lync 2010 using my own computer. I had restarted my computer a lot of times. But, I can successfully log on to Lync using a different computer, which also shows that the credentials I used were correct.

I get this error when I connect to my own computer:

Cannot Sign in to Lync

The user name, password, or domain appears to be Incorrect. Ensure that you entered them correctly. If the Problem continues; please contact your support team."

With this, I need your help in finding out the cause of this problem.

Thank you so much for the assistance.

This is odd since you can connect and log in using a different computer but not possible if you’re doing it on your own machine. You should try checking first your computer for possible virus infection.

Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your whole computer. Make sure to scan the folder System Volume Information located in the root of every drive.

This folder contains the restore points of your machine. Make some changes in the settings of Folder Options to make this folder visible because it’s a hidden system folder and doesn’t normally appear in Windows Explorer.

If the scan didn’t find any anomalies in the system, check again the configuration of the program. Maybe some of its settings were set incorrectly. If you can’t find any problems with its configurations, try doing a clean installation of the program again.

Uninstall Microsoft Lync then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. Then install it again after this. Test it if you can now sign in.
