I need few inputs about Client Settings Tool that is developed by Virgin Media. Please do let me know the purpose and working of Virgin Media Client Settings Tool.

Virgin Media Client Settings Tool

Hi Dana,
The ‘Internet Message Access Protocol’ is different for all clients.You can configure the clients mail settings to avoid the issue.
The working of the Virgin Media Client Settings tool is as below:
1) Open Outlook or Outlook Express
2) Click ‘Tools’ menu and Select ‘Accounts’
3) Click on the ‘Add’ tab,further click ‘Mail’
4) Enter your name in the display name field and click ‘Next’
5) In the ‘Email Address field ‘ enter your Full Virgin Media Mail address, Click’ Next’
6) Enter the respective values in the ‘Incoming Mail server’ and ‘Outgoing Mail server’,click ‘Next’
7) Enter your virgin media login credentials and click ’Next’
8) Click ‘Finish’
9) Highlight the field under the ‘Accounts’ tab and click ‘Properties’
10)Click on ‘Advanced’ tab, Check the box next to SSL
11)Enter ‘465’ in the ‘Outgoing Mail’ field. In the Outgoing and Incoming mail,check the box next to SSL
12)Move to the ‘servers’ tab and check the box near ‘My server requires authentication’.Click ‘OK’
