VB application load error 0x80090311

There is a VB.net application deployed in server 2003. It was working fine. We are getting some errors recently when the page was loading. One common error is -2146893039 (0x80090311) error. The site is totally malfunctioning.

I wonder whether this is an IIS/Domain error or an application error.

After adding the following:

// Disable the strict DNS signaling server lookup performed by IUccSiganlingSettings::FindServersendpointContext .AddProperty ((int)UCC_SERVER_ENDPOINT_FLAGS.UCCSEF_DISABLE_STRICT_DNS, (object)Boolean.TrueString). 

The Kerberos ticket negotiation works as expected.

VB application load error 0x80090311

Most of the posts on the internet are saying the same thing over and over again. And most of the technical or support personnel who received this kind of complaint really can’t explain what seems to be causing the strange error.

They said that this problem is new to them and it’s kind of strange since so many people are having the same issue all of a sudden.

But they come up with a way on how to possibly go around the problem and somehow possibly fix it if it’s really possible.
