Using WhatsApp without SIM possible?

Hi! So I was just using my smartphone and apparently the SIM has been deactivated by the company for some reasons that I don't know as yet, but  can I still use my Whatsapp if the SIM is not working or do I have to make sure that in order to use WhatsApp, my SIM should be working properly?

Hello, technically it is possible to use Whatsapp even if you don't have a sim on your device, as long as the account has been verified already prior to the removal of the sim card. However, if you're starting from scratch, it will still work, provided that you verify the number you provided on another device. To summarize, it will work but might not be practical at some point to have a device without a sim card running Whatsapp.

Using WhatsApp without SIM possible?

Hello. Whatsapp can still be used successfully without your SIM card. The only thing you do need is some type of internet connection such as a cable or WiFi. Whatsapp mainly uses internet connection to send and receive text messages. The SIM card does not interfere with sending and receiving messages and the app's connectivity.
