Hello,

I have installed recently 10.04. But I flushed with an error while trying to reboot during start up.

  • ata 5: COMRESET failed (error=-32)

Can anyone understand it? I have failed to install Handbrake and Chrome. When I wanted to make a command for Handbrake, it hangs and shows the following error:

Checking whether a statically linked program can dlopen itself.

For Chrome, When I run make -j5 BUILDTYPE=Release chrome
I get also segmentation error, Action yansm germaco for cource/patched-yasm … error 139.

Please help me. Suggestions would be appreciated greatly.

Hi Hannah Timothy,

Handbrake caused that problem of yours. If you are trying to make a command while using chrome, Google chromes become affected (even the It of Chrome don’t know how to solve these Issue of yours) there are choices that you could make.

1. First is to choose a different program. A program not like handbrake, any other program would run fine with Google Chrome but not this one.

2. Second choice is to return your Google chrome to its older version and then try using handbrake again.

3. Third way is to way for an update on both programs until they figure out which one is causing all these troubles.

4. Fourth is to Change your browser to Mozilla and then get a plug in for Handbrake. So that Hand brake will not affect your Mozilla.

These answers come from different but valid Forums and It experts.

Thank you and Good Luck. Contact me for any other question.
