Hello! I use a multi user computer at work and a lot of other people share the same computer. So I have some confidential files and I don't want anyone to read or open those files. These files are in PDF format. Recently, I think someone opened and read the contents of those files. So do I have an option to set a password for PDF files or not?

Using password for protection on PDF files
Most of us, we used adobe acrobat reader. It is genuinely helpful for using PDF files. It also help in the set a password for pdf files. So, I suggest you to use Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro Extended versions. Then you open up your file that you want to secure. Then goes the secure menu that is up on that reader and click it. Then click Encrypt with password and click yes. Then a pop-up window chrome. First of click the compatibility box and set into Acrobat 3.0 and later version. So, it also secures in older versions too. After that you have to click a box that require to a password to open the document. Then you should give a password for opening the document. There is some also security for stop printing or copying the files too.So, if you want to do that, you can also give a password for that. Then click ok. Then I want to give your first password and click ok. But these settings will not work until you save that document. So. ctrl+s for saving the document and feel secure.
