Using Chrome with different websites

I've recently begun using Google Chrome as my browser, but I've noticed some sites do not load as quick as they do with Internet Explorer.  I stopped using Explorer because some sites were telling me that I needed to upgrade.  Any suggestions as to why Chrome won't work properly?  Is it the browser or my laptop?

Please check and make sure that you have downloaded the full version of Google Chrome and installed it properly. Also, make sure that Antivirus is working properly in your system. This will help. Further, if you are not very specific about Google Chrome, use Firefox and set it as your default browser.
