An Internet Protocol address (IP address) is a numerical marker assigned to each in a computer network such as Computers and Printers. And also uses the Internet communication Protocol.

It uses a 32-bit number for the IP address. We called this as Internet Protocol Version 4.

About the IP classes, there are five IP classes as Class A, B, C, D and E. Each class consists of a closest subset of the general IPv4 address range.

Class A with the start addresses of 0.0.0.0 and finish address of 127.255.255.255.

Class B with the start addresses of 128.0.0.0 and finish address of 191.255.255.255.

Class C with the start addresses of 192.0.0.0and finish address of 223.255.255.255.

Class D with the start addresses of 224.0.0.0and finish address of 239.255.255.255.

Class E with the start addresses of 240.0.0.0and finish address of 255.255.255.255.

Hi Dear,

Each device on the network has its own and unique address. Which defines the device on the network.

For Example each mobile phone has its own number as it is every device has its own address which is called IP Address (Internet Protocol).

IP Address consists on 12 Character and 3 Dots.

Like 192.168.111.125

Each device has different IP address if two devices will have same IP then both of these became unaware of network and a Conflict will Built among them.

I hope you will understand.
