USB serial port driver shows error

Hi,

I download the driver “mbedWinSerial_16466.exe” which is a usb port driver. I wanted to install it on Windows 7 but an error occurred as shown in the image below.

Error message:

D:mbed mbedWinSerial_16466.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

USB serial port driver shows error

Hello Adolph,

 

According to the error message you must have downloaded a corrupted file. It happens eventually when users download the mbed installer using Internet Explorer. For unknown reasons Internet Explorer downloads only a part of the installer file and not the whole file.

To solve this problem:

1. Download and install another browser (Chrome, Mozilla Firefox)

2. Download again the installer file from the new internet browse and try again. Now the problem should be solved
